Panthera Valkyrie is a primal shibari artist, alchemising the suffering and intimacy of willing prey into a beautiful trance.
A self-described “romancer with rope” from the North West of England, she ties with natural-fibre rope and turns the hunt, the capture and the slow surrender of her partner into a living sculpture, often lifted into suspension. She treasures what she calls the undervalued moment in shibari, the descent: ties released slowly, then stretching and massage to bring her prey gently back to earth.
Panthera also teaches rope, from first ties to suspension, and celebrates diverse bodies and identities through her Queer Rope photography project.
