Mattana is a multi-instrumentalist from London who brings dance music from around the world to their eclectic sets. A strong believer in the power of music to unite and to break down cultural boundaries, they draw mostly on Afro, Latin and Caribbean beats.
Mattana plays regularly in London bars and clubs such as Elektrowerkz, Brixton Hootenanny and the Jago, and at festivals including Boomtown, Wilderness, Tropical Pressure and Isle of Wight Festival. A regular on the queer and kink dancefloors, they have held residencies with Pinky Promise, Quench and Party In Your Pants, and play nights such as Imaginarium, Popola and Qwe’re. Mattana is one half of MattaMinor, this year’s music coordinators.
